Hyperlogs | Time Tracking has never been easier!
We released a product in January and got a ton of traffic from a Show HN and product hunt the first week and then it flattened out.
We haven't spent any money on ads yet, but we are trying to put together a marketing gameplan.
Any tips or ideas?
Thanks.
There are a bunch of lists of time-tracking apps that come up on page one of the search results. Contact the authors and follow up with them until you get put on those lists!
I tried the same for my product with few top blogs. Out of 10, 2 were added our product in their blogs. Now those high ranking article brings 15% traffic. It is definetly worth it.
Do you have any email retention campaigns in store to re-engage your users / bring them back? What about doing a cohort analysis on what's the difference between users who stay vs those who churn after the first week/month/x time period?
We use intercom for engaging with customers. We have basic onboard emails as well as emails to customers that are "slipping" as well regular email broadcasts to announce new features and releases.
But we haven't specifically done what you are talking about. Good tip, thanks.
Use the bullseye framework to look at all 19 acquisition channels and do simple calculations to see which 1 - 2 channels are best for you to focus on.
Design a bunch of experiments you can test out on each channel
Rinse and repeat (and scale what works)
Brian Belfour's video (https://brianbalfour.com/essays/growth-process-first-tactics-second) about building a growth machine is brilliant. You're too early to build a machine, but you can use the fundamentals in the same way. Best of luck!
