Growing an app with a donation referral program

imwith messenger - Product Hunt

Hi guys,

I'm Arik from imwith (YC S17) and I'm new here, nice to meet you all! I wanted to share something we do and get your feedback. imwith is a meme-messenger that generates hilarious memes based on what u say. Our perception is that when it comes to a messaging app, real user = at least 2 friends on the app. We thought about different ways to make the app viral and came up with an idea we are testing today, which is donating to an NGO when you refer friends. I added a link to the app (Today launched on ProductHunt) and would love to get your feedback about the idea and how we have implemented it.

Of course I'll be happy to share insights in the near future.
