How to Build a Social Media App?

I'm going to assume you are still at the idea phase...

If so, I suggest you DON'T build a social media app yet.

Instead, spend time to define what is the problem that your project actually solves (compared to Facebook, Instagram, etc).

Then, spend time going out and talking with 100 potential customers (one on one). Ask them if they have this problem, what workarounds they currently have, etc.

What you'll likely find out is that the problem you are solving isn't one your customers care about. Or maybe it's an entirely different customer that cares about it than you imagined. Or they do care about it, but aren't willing to pay for it.

This is a much better process than just going out to build a social media app!

Social media occupies a huge place in today's world. That's why several new social networking apps appear every day. If you want to create a social networking app, you need to know a few basic rules.

You need to create the basic functions of the application: login, profile, messaging, search, settings, etc.

Obviously, in order for the app to be easy to use designers create an app look that any user would like.
