Decentralized Apps - Does they make sense?

Discovering DApps industry upon Ethereum and particularly keeping in mind decentralized exchange. Checked couple of frameworks as indicated here http://merehead.com/blog/make-decentralized-cryptocurrency-exchange-dex/ and think Ethereum much more easier than comparing to Bishares.
Do you have any experience with it, what pitfalls may I face during launch and development?
