In my previous work in product jobs, I made lots and lots of videos to explain either new products, changes to products, or walk-throughs for confused customers. I've always really enjoyed making these. But, to ensure they look polished, they often take a fair amount of time to create. And then there's editing the sound and adding some snappy transitions.
Lately, I've been focusing on making no/minimal-sound videos with an emphasis on text explanations. I think that they generally take quite a bit less time, and I'm partial to how they look visually. I just use Keynote. And, if I need to create something that's slightly more visual (like an image I want to highlight), I use Canva.
I just made a quick video yesterday to explain our product, Eariously - an app that lets you listen to news and articles with just a URL.
