Feedback on Credit Score API
Hi all,
My co-founders and I just built this little API/docs and wanted to get all of your guy's feedback on it.
It's an API for getting consumer credit scores in your app securely, and it's very early/ still in private beta. Right now the major use case looks like fintech apps that want to delight their users by offering to show them their credit score for free, and alert them if there's any major change to their credit score.
My cofounders and I were actually working on something like the above (which we sucked at), but realized that the API we had been building underneath us others found valuable.
Usually if you want to integrate anything related to credit reports into your app right now it takes anywhere between 3-6 months of due diligence with one of the three major credit bureaus. When you finally get past the due diligence they email you a huuuge pdf for their api which makes for one hell of an intense read. Which is to say, this is all rather insane if the only thing you want is to get people's credit scores for them without having to worry about securely storing people's social security numbers.
