Can you critique my landing page for my newsletter for me?

FIN dailydigest

Hi Indie Hackers,

I've made a landing page and before I launch it on social feeds it would be cool if I could get some feedback from UX/UI individuals. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

    Hi Sam,
Not a UI/UX feedback, but it would greatly help if I could see a sample newsletter before I subscribe.

Thanks for the feedback I'll sort that out soon.

Yeah, as both a newsletter creator and consumer, I want to confirm this one as well. It helps people make the decision.

    Some ideas UI:

    • only load the fonts you need. You are currently loading a lot (Montserrat:200,200italic,500,500italic,800,800italic,300,300italic) thats bad for performance.
    • make the header text bigger
    • maybe change the link text "Fintech Insider News" to something more descriptive for people who don't know it. Something like "View Dashboard/Blog/News"
    • the big screen layout is too big for my taste (1920x1080)
    • looks great otherwise

Not a UI/UX, but it would help if you add social validation/ testimonial.

Now you mention it that makes a lot of sense aha.

    Congrats on launching.

You do an okay job of making me understand what problem you want to solve for me (that's great btw, this is normally the thing founders struggle with).

Where you're weaker is in convincing me that your newsletter is the solution to this problem.

Off the top of my head, an example and some social proof (testimonials, logos, subscriber numbers etc) would go a long way to improving this. Perhaps a quick description of why you're the right person/team to solve this problem as well - although I'm not sure that's strictly necessary.

    Good luck!
