entrepreneur manifesto feedback

Hello guys,
this is my first IH post :)

I've quitted my full time job 9 months ago and started travelling, meeting people and helping some startups. I've read over 150 business books, from the lean startup to behavioral psychology.
I'm a mechanical engineer but my working experience has always been sales and business related.

I've decided to create a small "manifesto" to share what I've learned so far.
This is not really business related but the focus is more on the "entrepreneurial mindset".
This is a WIP, but I would like to share it with the IH community to gather some precious feedback :)

Thank you,
Matteo

-ONE----Business means (learning how to) solve problems---
Doing business is solving problems.
Get used to speak with people and don’t be afraid to do open and obvious questions.
A good answer worth more than a quick solution.
Emprender es Aprender.
(entrepreneurship is learning , spanish)

-TWO----The new economy------
The world is not anymore linear. We live in a exponential, fractal and scalable economy where the winner takes it all.

Metcalfe’s law, Taleb – hidden asymmetries, Umair Hacque – new economy , the long tail – chris anderson

-THREE----Mental boxes-----
Learn the basics of cognitive science: philosophy of science and psychology.
Avoid the inductive error.
Know and recognize cognitive bias. Your customer choice are less rational than what we are used to think.
Remember that correlation doesn't mean causality.
Accept the unknown unknown.
Science and knowledge are only temporary, mental models suddenly change

-FOUR-----See the world through other’s eyes------
Don’t get trapped in a niche of friends that share your same interest.
Speak with people with different background and learn from everybody.
Knowing a little bit of everything helps you in identifying opportunities.
The global optimum is not the sum of the local optimum.

-FIVE-----Challenge yourself and embrace failing quickly-----
Challenge yourself and get used to live out of your comfort zone.
How many times did you fall before learning how to ride? Allow yourself to make mistakes and learn from them.

Give a lot of smile to receive few kisses.
Give in advance if you want to receive, you will get only few payback but they will be worthwhile.
Don’t get hurt by what you cannot control.

Alex Banayan - The third door

-SIX-----Time management------
Lack of time means that you need to prioritize. Pareto’s 80/20 rules.
reserve some time during the day where you cannot be interrupted. (no telephone nor email interruptions)
Be productive and not only active.
Doing the right thing is more important than doing things right.
Be creative and not repetitive. If your task became repetitive that means that your job can be delegated or done by an algorithm.

Pareto, Keller - The one thing, Roger Martin - the design of business, Kiyosaki - Rich dad poor dad

-SEVEN----Question your assumptions------
Always question your assumptions. When you are taking a decision ask yourself “which assumptions need to be proven right to make my decision right?”
The first choice is fundamental. Having a direction is as important as moving forward.
In a poker casino’ the most important decision is choosing in which table play.
