Bringing users in from the waitlist, tool recommendations?
Get users signed up for the waitlist via email. Check.
Now what? With a continuous flow of people coming into an email waitlist, and separate flow of inviting them in to use the MVP, Alpha, beta, and onward– what tools do you all use to do this, and keep track of your early users?
Super interesting question. I was wondering about this also. Did you use Typeform or anything to collect extra information on your subscribers that could help you target the best beta users for your product? What are the weights that you could assign to each user signup: date joined, did they 'share' and bring other people to the list and at what volume / influence did they have on other people also join the list, demographic info, device user has) I guess you are trying to target influencers and people that have potential to promote your offering the best. But if you do not have any other data then an email or phone number then i would assume you are just dividing the list and adding people in batches. What is the timeframe for your private Alpha, Beta? People on the list will want to join before it goes public to everyone. Joining something closed and private is more exciting than joining a public product so i would say that you want to divide up the list in a way that would allow you to get everyone in before it is time to open the doors to everyone else.
Definitely. I simply did a email sign up for the waitlist for guestboard.co, and in retrospect, could have used a tool like Typeform and maybe relieved myself of this small problem.
The early alpha will be 10 influencer couples (I'm in the wedding space), comprised of 5 friends and 5 "strangers" who have shown an increased interest in promoting/testing it. Getting cozy with them and hearing/see how they use it. After that, just as you said, the beta will involve bringing people in batches until the big reveal/launch to all.
The waitlist issue is something that can be done on a spreadsheet, but the trickle in/trickle out nature of the list makes me think theres a better way.
If no one responds with anything, someone should build this :)

Which I think could probably solve my problem, but I think I'm looking for something extremely lightweight. Basically a spreadsheet that pulls in contacts from Mailchimp chronologically, and then dumps them to another section when I've marked them as invited.
