Would love some feedback on my new service - personalized recipe search.

Personalized recipe-finding service, based on ingredients you have.
Easy and quick to try it out; creating an account lets you save your recipes.

My first time doing this, so would really appreciate any feedback about launching, promotion, monetization, improvements to the product or any general comments.
Thanks!

I really like the look. I used to know a similar service, but I cannot find it now, so I'm happy that you've made this and I wish you to succeed. What I don't get is why is it needed to login if I don't want to save recipes? I wanted to try out the service, but I don't want to login for something this simple. At least not right away. Also, maybe there is a way to hide that you are using azurewebsites and auth0. I guess it's ok for the beginning, but for serious project, you should take care of this. Good luck!

Thank you so much for your kind comments, Karolina! Glad that you got to try it out - hope you will find it useful.

The whole idea behind this service is that you can have it store all the ingredients that you have on hand, and have it come up with recipes using some of those. In order to 'remember' your ingredients, you need a login - otherwise you will have to pick them out each time. You can try it out once, and then it asks you to create an account so you don't have to click the same items each time.

I am not sure if azurewebsites and auth0 will matter to many people - but yes, they do provide ways to have custom urls, which I might set up later, depending on how things go.

Thanks again for your time, Karolina!

Like the idea. Execution can be improved.

Search could be faster and realtime. As I am adding ingredients show count and list of recipes (or names of recipes) in realtime.

Thank you Dickey Singh for taking the time to review the service.

Search will be faster in the future hopefully, with better processing power on Azure. Real-time will likely not be possible since there is a lot of work that goes into not just searching for recipes, but mapping the recipe ingredients to what the user has.

If you notice, in addition to adding ingredients, you can also choose which ones to use (eg. you might have 100 ingredients, but you only want to use 5 of them to search today). Until the user finalizes the criteria, it wouldn't make sense to start the search.

Note: Even Google does not show you the count or the list of results until you hit Enter. :-)

This was done on mobile with Wi-Fi connection.
Upon clicking the link I found the homepage was slow to load as it was redirecting to azurewebsites subdomain.

Once it loaded I thought the homepage was laid out nicely although the hamburger menu had no items so on click this just ended up hiding some of the screens.

I liked when searching the recipes you could see which ingredients you had and which would be required. The problem I have found on mobile is once on the recipes page I am unable to navigate to any other page (such as blog). Also as a note, as the websites hosting the recipes are a third party I would open these in a new window or tab so that you are not driving customers away from your site quite as easily.

In the whole I quite enjoy looking up recipes for ingredients I have or contain a certain food.

Thanks for your valuable feedback, Chris!
Page load should be improved later as I move to a higher tier in azure. Right now, it's at the lowest.

Hamburger menu - it seems to pick up the items (social media icons) later, but is missing them initially. I hadn't noticed that, so really appreciate your tip.

Currently the blog doesn't contain anything but I will add it to the hamburger menu later. The idea is to not clutter the page with links, but keep it as close to an 'app-like' feel as possible.

The third-party websites are configured to open in a new window, both on mobile and desktop and you should be able to come back to my site after reading through them. Do you not see that happening?
Seems to work fine on my mobile (Android) - if possible, let me know what phone you used.

Chris - Thanks again for your time trying it out and your observations.
