Time Guard - Protect Your Time on the App Store

I'm working on a B2C app to help people put limits on social media distractions (https://timeguard.io). I just launched this week, and currently the product is on the app store for free. I've got two monetization options I'm thinking about:

  1. Charge money for adding more than N (maybe 2?) social media sites for your block list. This would be a one-time upgrade fee.
  2. Charge a monthly subscription. I could do this now, or wait until I've got multi-device syncing working to increase the value proposition (eg. you could block time-wasting sites on both your computer and your phone).

I'd rather go with the subscription model long-term, but I'm worried the app isn't valuable enough yet to justify people spending money on it. On the other hand, it may be a few months before I'm able to get multi-device syncing out the door, especially if I spend time in the short-term trying to promote it.

Thoughts?
