Where to find sales people?
Hey,
I've a great startup I'm working on, I'm getting leads from few marketing channels and I need to find someone who can call the leads explain them everything about the platform and close the deal and help with the onborading process or any other questions they might have.
Where do you suggest to find someone like this? Upwork?

There's no way in hell you want to outsource that work in the beginning...
It's the only way you'll learn from your customers about how to sell to them, their perception of your value, and how to handle their objections.
Also, if you don't know how to sell to your customers, there's no way you can train (or trust) someone else to do it for you - how would you know if they aren't closing sales because of something you do wrong, or something they do wrong?
Do the first 10-20 sales (at least) yourself. You'll thank me for it later.
Thanks for your comment, You are totally right. I already sale it on my country and we have customers, I know most of the objections and how to deal with them. I'm looking for native US speaker to sell for outside my home country. Thanks again.
Nice - sorry for jumping the gun, it sounded from your post like you were just beginning to get leads for the first time.
I've been in your position before and I've found the best tactic to be doing sales yourself regardless - as long as you can make yourself understood in English, your 'passion/credibility' as the founder will shine through and far outweigh the negatives of not being fluent.
My rule of thumb is never to hire a salesperson for a task you haven't done yourself successfully at least a few times.
For setting up the first point of contact (eg cold calling to set up a product demo) you could use something like Upwork pretty successfully, but there's so much training involved in getting a real 'closer' up and running that it makes much more sense to bring someone on board properly.
You could try advertising on places like angellist and weworkremotely to find a good person - be prepared to test ruthlessly. Of 3-4 hires, probably only 1 will work out.
