Show IH: Gyfty – Amazon product discovery tool
This is a project of mine that I've been working on for a few months on and off. Recently added some new functionality and I think it's to a point where it could be useful.
Let me know what you guys think! Open to any and all feedback.
After a quick test my impressions are the UI/UX is great, refreshingly simple! But the results could use a bit of work... I tested an example I would use 'For Her > Sports & Fitness' and it gave me 2 results, with the 2nd result being 'Ultra Pro 25/9 Pocket Silver Series Page Protectors'.
If you could improve the results it spits out, I'd probably use it, the simplicity of it, makes it a very appealing tool I think.
Thanks! Yeah that's the harder part about it, making the results actually be useful. I'll have to test out a little more what I can do with the amazon API.
Good call out about it only returning a low number of results sometimes. I think I can come up with an easy enough solution to request more products automatically if a certain minimum (e.g. 5 products) isn't reached
I think you should put some video showing the use in the home because I entered and I wonder how it works but then I've seen how it works
I was trying to make the UI intuitive enough to where that wouldn't be needed but maybe I could add a headline or something that would clarify what it would be used for?
