Building something to help entrepreneurs & startups learn, need your feedback.
Hey guys,
I'm a single non-technical founder building an e-learning platform called Parity It allows entrepreneurs and startups to learn from other successful entrepreneurs & experts in a way that's easy to manage and digest.
The core feature (value) I'm proposing is finding answers to specific business-related questions in real-time by utilizing an advanced search engine while giving answers in the format of articles and tutorials made by people with real-life experience in the subject.
For example, you can type in "how to create a high-converting landing page" and you'll get an article/tutorial on the topic written by a designer or a marketer that has done that many times, so you'll get an answer that is concrete, practical and executable.
Think of it as an online business library with an advanced search engine. Use it any time you need learn something or to find an answer to a specific question fast.
I've managed to gain a bit of traction and to attract interesting authors like Nir Eyal while keeping things low-key.
Since the product is aimed at entrepreneurs and startups like you, I'll be really grateful if you guys gave me some constructive feedback on what you see, and some ideas on what features will be useful for you to help you learn. Really, any thoughts or questions are well appreciated.
Oh and by the way, I'm looking for a co-founder if anyone really likes the idea.

I like this idea as well!
One idea I think could help is "courses." I often search for things thinking I know what I need, but need to take a step back. And some people are just trying to figure out the entire process.
You could have courses designed to help with finding good ideas, validating, marketing, branding, UX, landing pages, etc. But you could also have something like "LEAN Startups" that take you through entire processes.
Sounds tough to implement, but incredibly valuable if done right.

Might be a little fuzzy in my head as well! haha
Here's a weird-ish example: Last week, I posted a question here about creating a subreddit to help with community and marketing. An actual marketer chimed in and basically said "you're doing it wrong - creating a community is not going to help you market."
So just because I ask for help with "Facebook advertising" or "building Reddit communities," doesn't mean I understand a higher level topic well enough to know that it's the wrong thing I'm focusing on.
I think I understand what you mean. It's like you don't know which is the right question to ask.
I'm bringing a new feature soon that will allow you to ask the authors on the platform questions and to have a conversation with them. So that way you'll have the freedom to ask questions and get answers from someone that understands the topic.
On the other hand, you could sign-up for the newsletter updates and check up on the library regularly by browsing categories. That way you'll expand your own knowledge on the subject.
Guys, what would you say has more value to you?
a) Learning from experts
b) Having everything in (tutorials & courses) in one place

Just checked your website, it looks good, but the text is bit difficult to readable, you can re consider to change font color .

The author part is open to anyone that can provide high-quality insights and follows the guidelines.
For the learners, I plan to introduce other formats of tutorials like videos, more interactivity to ease learning, and courses with some sort of certification, also parts from books. I also want to add company profiles so people can learn how to use tools for e.g MailChimp straight from the source.
For the authors, we would like to enable them to make money from their writing at some point too.
"What are your plans to verify the info that is going on the site?"
I do lots of due diligence on the background of authors, but it's really the content itself that I pay the most attention to. You can easily see when something is good or not. I'm trying to create a format that's concrete and to the point, so you can jump in and take something out of it that's actionable. Furthermore, everything that you can find here will have an emphasis on "validated learning" - knowledge that has been proven to work in real life, not just theory.
So in the end, the content that goes live on the platform has to fit those criteria. At the moment everything is done manually, but soon you'd be able to send things for approval. In any case, if you have something interesting just shoot me an email :)

I do have a community part but it's switched off at the moment since I'm focusing on building the library. I'm planning to add a comment section on each article with Disquss or a similar platform in order to bring more interactivity between readers and authors.
At the moment, everything is manual, articles and authors are contacted and added by me. There is a certain criteria that you have to meet in order to be part of the author pool. That's how we keep the quality of the content high. In the future you'd be able to write on the platform but you'd still need to be approved as an author.
So, all articles and authors are moderated and uploaded to the platform, the answers(articles) that come up in a search already exist and can be found either by using the categories or by browsing.
Does that make sense?
To add, product hunt's ask section is more related to products, we are more focused on building conversations between the authors (experts) and the readers. And at some point between the whole community itself.
