Help finding people who acquire software businesses and software studios

Do you know where I can find the following?

• individuals and companies who acquire bootstrapped software businesses
• software studios which build and sell plugins on platforms like Wordpress and Shopify

I know the former exists and have tracked down a few but am struggling to know where to start looking for more. I'm kind of hypothesising that the latter exists but companies like Clean Themes springs to mind in the themes space.

Any general advice on approach, places to look or specific people to reach out to are very much appreciated!
