Hey fellow hackers, I am going to take up a challenge here & launch new products every 72 hours.
The problem I have is jumping from one idea to another without actually launching it.
I have wasted tons of time making half products that I never launched or showed it to anyone else other than me. So this time, I am going to ship the actual product & launch it on Product Hunt.
I wrote a complete blog post about it on my website - https://akshaykadam.me
Here's a link to the blog post which explains all my challenges & struggles & the rules to post new products in 72 hours.

If you've never launched a product or are switching from product to product, I suggest you should join me & publicly commit to it. The worst thing that will happen is you will fail, but its better to try & fail than to fail without trying. So join me & tweet with hashtag #72hoursproduct on Twitter.
I'm on Twitter @ https://twitter.com/deadcoder0904 if you want to follow me for updates.
I did this for whoishiring.me and it is certainly possible but take into account that you'll spend way more time than that cleaning up/rewriting the code afterwards so you can move on to v1.0
Wow that's a nice site. Yeah if one idea takes off & people like it a lot then I'll pivot. I'll focus on that one & make it into a nice product.
One recent example is Screely. Even the maker Jurn tweeted about it lol.
Hi Akshay,
That's sound like an almost impossible challenge.
Oh hi Max, you didn't check the dates 🙈it was a year ago.
I actually never finished it. Did I think 2-3 while learning new languages (Swift) & frameworks (Apollo) then I faced an error & then gave up.
It's actually possible to do but until & unless you really want it, it doesn't happen. Then after I didn't make a product, I guess I was recovering. But I still have that tweet pinned to my profile to remind me of my failure.
Now I'll be getting back again with something new, something fresh, something cool but not this. I guess I am ready for round 2 now :)
Hi Akshay,
Actually I checked the dates :)
I was wondering if you succeeded. I was hoping you that you succeeded and have a few successful product.
It was a really impossible challenge for a single person and even for a team. My friends are working on games. They launch a new game every week. But actually it is a single game with different features or setting. All of them are really similar. There are four of them and it takes them a week.
Never ever ever ever give up!
Are you just into launching the new projects (in this phase) or up to doing some work on traction building too?
First one :)
How about scheduling some resources for building traction too, so you give your best shot for them, rather than entirely leaving it to the fate?
While I completely appreciate the whole purpose behind your "72 hours shipping" concept, it would definitely shake the inertial and fear of shipping (for you and few more in the process), if you give them the best shot of taking off too, it would be more worthwhile (and satisfying) an effort.
Afterall, getting product right means finding product/market fit. It does not mean launching the product. It means getting to the point where the market accepts your product and wants more of it.
I appreciate your concern but sometimes you get the traction within first day, sometime the first week, sometime the first year. This is the thing you cannot control. The only thing you can control is making products.
Currently my aim is to make the MVP of a product. If it works, then I'll give it time to grow & work on it. If nobody cares about the product then I'll throw it away otherwise I'll be wasting my time on trying to make a product that no one wants.
First aim is to just ship something valuable for me, the next aim is to ship something valuable to the people & the third & last aim is to ship something what you are saying about finding product/market fit & all :)
Nice idea! What product will you be working on first?
WIP Desktop - Electron App for https://wip.chat.
Its a very niche product but solves the pain I currently have now. As Telegram is a chat application I get distracted by tons of messages & so to log a todo I need to open Telegram everytime & I lose my time a lot by procrastinating & reading & replying to all the messages. My app will help me log todos on WIP without opening Telegram. After that app, it won't be niche products but products that are helpful for everyone.
Our first products will have a small overlap :)
No problem buddy. Competition brings the best out of everyone :)
Interesting stuff. I have a ton of ideas and currently working on one, if you will like to join us in completing the development, you are most welcome. One of my biggest challenge is finding a developer is interesting in co-founding with me. Hi Me up if you are up for it.
Finally, its really about getting things done and seeing it through. The money is never the motivation but actually finding unique gaps or challenges and then building a solution to improve the processes. My two cents.
Just followed you on twitter to monitor your progress. All the best.
Thank you 🙌
I have ton of ideas too. So can't help you with that. Besides I love working solo :)
It can be for some. I think you are really underestimating the power of money, if its too much then you say its not the motivation but if its too little then that's the only thing that's motivating. If you are privileged enough, then it won't be for you. For me, I'm not too privileged, but not too poor. But money is definitely a motivation. Others I'd make my products free & open source lol 😂
Interesting, will follow you to see how it goes, good luck buddy!
Thank you 🙌

Yep that's me. But finally I'm going to just ship it. The worst thing that could happen is it goes in Product GraveYard & everyone will move on. The thing is nobody cares about bad product so why not just build a short MVP & test if anybody cares. If some people care, then maybe its a good product then make it better but if nobody cares you can just cut that idea from your idea list :)
