Describe your perfect task management app

Hi everyone, happy Friday :) I’m curious to know what features your ideal task management app would have, what you would use it for, and how you think it could improve your life.
I’m working on something in this area and I’m keen to learn how an app of this sort could potentially make your day to day better.

Personally the app I want would:

  • be useful for managing my freelance work (app development), and also my personal life (chores, hobbies, fitness, weekend plans)
  • let me schedule tasks on a calendar so I can plan out my day
  • suggest the best things to work on
  • track my time straight from a task or a project with minimal hassle
  • let me capture thoughts like business ideas, hobby projects or travel plans, then turn them into real projects
  • show me the past (things completed) and the future (upcoming plans) as a timeline so I can visualise where I’ve been and where I’m going
  • estimate and track my work / life balance and help me improve it
  • track my productivity and show me the hours I’m most efficient
  • be simple and quick to use 😋

This dream app of mine would improve my life by being an extension of my brain, and take some of the thought and decisions out of general time management. Having a birds-eye view of all my commitments would remove the feeling that I’m always forgetting something, but would only be truly useful if it was updated thoroughly, so being able to add information fast and get out would be a huge deal breaker.

I’d love to know what your dream app would look like!

I think https://zenkit.com/ is a great example of a perfect task management app as it's just released 8 different languages. Can you think of anything better than being able to navigate in your native language? If yours isn't included, let me know as I work closely with the developers.

You may like this simple app I am using at Fluxes.com. It helps me to organize lots of stuffs. It's completely free.
