I got tired of heavyweight IDEs that need an entire node_modules forest just to render a textbox. And I really got tired of cloud editors that send every keystroke to who-knows-where. So I wrote DS PHP Edit. It’s just PHP. Drop it in a webroot, serve it up, and it runs. No Composer install. No build pipelines. All the frontend assets (Ace, jQuery, etc.) are vendored directly in the repo. Requires a DeepSeek V4 API key to run the AI features so ya, super cheap AI. NOTE: this is a local tool. Do not expose it to the internet.
