TransAcoustic Nylon (Day 555)

Sunday guitar talk time.

I finally got my hands on the Yamaha TransAcoustic nylon guitar today! It is amazing how the guitar can produce reverb (and chorus) without plugging into an amp!

The natural nylon sound of this guitar is a bit on the brighter side. The bass is full and clear. Then I tried to play with the reverb switched on all the way--the sonic difference is distinctive! You can hear the reverb like it's playing in a large hall.

I've recorded Queen's "Love of My Life" using Kfir Ochaion's tab.

To draw a programming analogy, to hear the recording back is like seeing the compiler or a linter highlighting all the errors in my code! Bad notes and missing beats are highlighted! No way to hide! Well, it is what it is, lol.

It's hard to turn the reverb off--if you can place the guitar in a great-sounding room, why would you take it out, ever! The only complaint is that there's no light to indicate if the TransAcoustic mode is on or off. I don't know if it's going to get turned off after idling to save the battery.
