Introducing Versatapp: A web framework for No Code

I'm currently building a Meta-Data driven framework for No Code.

The idea behind it is that anyone familiar with basic web apps can enter and by simply filling a form and adding some rules be able to release a fully functional application with fields and workflows tailored (by the user) for a particular business context.

Think of something like Airtable, but instead of spreadsheets focused in list/forms with a formalized set of roles and permissions. Other sources of inspiration are the Salesforce platform and the Frappe framework.

This is targeted for individuals that want to improve business processes in creative ways but are limited by the cost and complexity of existing SaaS for a limited scope. Instead of paying full for a whole SaaS app that is not going to be used 100%, better have this tool in which you can create separate small Apps for each business case that requires it.

The way this works is by letting the user (In the UI) design the data model and then add a layer of rules and workflows on top that are triggered when predefined events happen within the app.

In phase 1: The user will be able to start creating and using customized apps and invite team members.

In phase 2: We will expose the dynamic API that can allow a more experienced user to connect the new applications with any web services.

In phase 3: The plan is to expose a public frontend, with which the user can expose the content and records from the applications in a website, while being able to control who can access what.

In phase 4: A mobile app will be released for the internal apps, and will allow the users to access most of the features that are available in the web.

I have acquired the domain versatapp.com (Landing page not active yet), so the framework will be called "Versatapp" as in Versatile App(s).

My idea is to basically introduce it to the world early and start receiving some feedback on the whole concept that I can use to refine the initial version of the platform, therefore any questions, thoughts and opinions will be well received.

Also, not tips on how to actually start selling this thing once finished would be greatly appreciated :)

At the time of writing, the framework is under heavy development and the plan is to release version 1.0 by July 1st 2020.
