How a Non-Technical Founder launched a must-have Chrome Extension

"Is building digital products impossible for a non technical founder? Nope. Just challenging."

This is often a regular conversation I have with myself.

In hopes of inspiring other non-technical people to build, I wanted to share a couple key lessons I've learned along the way.

  1. It's never been a better time to build and launch products/companies!
The community here and on Twitter is unbelievably supportive. By following an engaging, you'll be blown away the value you can gain so quickly.

  2. If you can identify and truly validate a problem, you're well on your way.
Solving problems is simply a matter of connecting dots in an empathetic way. Once you've struck something painful, talk to as many people as possible to fill in the gaps you don't see.

  3. Learn the design process:
    A. Write a simple goal (What does it look like to solve the problem)
    B. Create super simple requirements
    C. Make rough wireframes (napkin-sketch-style)
    D. Review with a technical friend if possible
    E. Produce product design (I prefer Figma)
    F. I've had great success with developers on UpWork (Or find a friend)

  4. Back to #1, be sure to be building your own community from day 1 so by the time you are done building/testing, you have someone to launch to.

If this at all resonates with you, I'd love for you to check out the first product I've designed and launched: CaptionCub, the must-have tool for anyone who learn on YouTube.
