Looking for a co-founder for dokly

Hi there,

I am software engineer and over the past months built a knowledge base / docs platform - dokly.co.

Unfortunately, I do not get a lot of time to handle the marketing and distribution aspect of it and would love to partner up with someone who is interested in this space and would like to join me as a co-founder.

    I am software developer, too.
I think ProductHunt or Kickstarter is good option for your project.

For product hunt you need to have an audience. I tried PH and got like 3 likes. It's hard to compete when companies like anthropic are also launching their products on ph.

Congrats on getting the product launched honestly, building the actual platform is already the hardest part for many projects.

A docs/knowledge base product is also a space where distribution matters a lot, so it makes sense that you’re looking for someone focused on growth and marketing rather than trying to do everything yourself.

You may have better luck if you also share:

    • what stage the product is currently at

    • current users / traffic (if any)

    • tech stack

    • whether you’re looking for:

      • growth marketing
      • content/community
      • sales
      • or product strategy
    • and whether this is equity-only or paid + equity

Also worth mentioning what makes dokly different from existing tools like GitBook, Notion docs, Docusaurus, Mintlify, etc. That usually helps attract people who genuinely connect with the vision.

Wishing you luck with it finding the right co-founder fit is difficult, but having a working product already puts you ahead of many early-stage ideas.

This sounds interesting, especially since building the product is usually the hardest part

A lot of technical founders hit the same wall once the platform is live distribution, positioning, and consistent marketing take a completely different skill set and time investment.

You might have better luck if you share a bit more about:

    • who Dokly is built for
    • what makes it different from existing docs/wiki tools
    • current traction (users, feedback, MRR, etc.)
    • what kind of co-founder you’re looking for specifically (marketing, growth, sales, community, content)

People are usually more willing to join when they can clearly see the vision and current stage of the project.

Also, before giving away equity too early, you could test:

    • a growth partner
    • commission-based marketer
    • content/community collaborator
    • or even finding someone through indie hacker / SaaS communities first

The product itself already sounds useful developer-focused tools usually grow well once the positioning clicks.

I have contacts and experience in raising capital for startups, and also marketing strategies for B2B businesses. What you really need right now is to get customers, and I'm committed to helping you achieve it. First I want to contact you, I don't have an x so give me another place to contact you.
