Have you read the mom test?
If so, can you share a story or two where the advices in the book assisted you?

It helped me realize how hard it is not to go into "pitch mode" when you talk to a potential customer. Even though I still do it, I'm now aware that I'm reducing the value of the conversation. It also opened my eyes on the kind of compliment you get and how sometimes it's just a way of saying "That's cool dude, now leave me alone".

    Great read

Excellent book. It really changed the way I talk to people about their problems. Im at a point now where I just keep asking questions rather than inferring answers and it feels so much more productive. I also learned how important it is to learn behavior rather than intent. Just read the book its really short.

I've managed to not start a few projects, because I got an honest understanding of the market. Actually it was more Running Lean, but The Mom Test is in there so..

I liked it. It was a really quick read, but it helped me talk less about my product and more about their problem. I would say talking to customers provides more value than it did before, but you still need to figure out how to find customers to talk to.
