I just launched CompliAssistant™, a focused AI assistant that helps people working in healthcare get clear, fast answers to HIPAA compliance questions.
It’s already live and in use — I’m offering free access in exchange for feedback. Also open to connecting with:
Designers who care about UX in regulated spaces
Product people with B2B or compliance background
Anyone excited about AI in healthcare
Drop a comment or DM if you’d like access!
Hey, this is a really interesting product. As someone who's worked on several B2B products, I know exactly how painful and time-consuming compliance documentation can be. You're solving a very real problem.
My feedback is less about the current UI and more a thought on the product's strategic positioning. You're calling it an "AI assistant," which is great and clearly communicates that it's a tool to help a user perform a task.
But have you considered framing it as an autonomous 'Compliance Agent'?
The mental model for the user shifts entirely. An assistant is a tool I have to remember to use and manage. An agent, on the other hand, is a specialist I hire to own the entire compliance process for me.
This "agent" wouldn't just help me write. It would:
It becomes a permanent, vigilant member of the team, not just a tool you pull out when you have a specific writing task.
Framing it this way could let you move upmarket from a 'helpful writing tool' to an 'essential, automated team member' for companies in regulated spaces. It's a much bigger value proposition.
Just a thought on the positioning! The core tech sounds incredibly valuable. Nice work and best of luck with gathering feedback.
Thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback — really appreciate you taking the time to share this perspective 🙏
You’ve nailed exactly the pain point we’re solving: compliance work is draining, repetitive, and distracts teams from shipping. Your suggestion around positioning it as a “Compliance Agent” vs. “Assistant” is spot on — shifting the mental model from a tool to a proactive team member is something I hadn’t framed so directly before, and it opens up a lot of exciting possibilities for where we take CompliAssistant.
We’re starting laser-focused on HIPAA compliance so we can deliver real value fast, but the vision absolutely aligns with what you described — proactive monitoring, automated drafting, version history, and audit trails. That’s the trajectory we’re building toward.
I’d love to stay in touch as we evolve CompliAssistant — it sounds like your experience in B2B products could provide some valuable perspective as we refine both positioning and functionality. If you’re open, I’d be happy to reach out once we’ve made progress on the “agent” side of the roadmap.
Thanks again for the insight — it’s hugely helpful as we work on shaping not just the product, but the category it belongs to.
That's great to hear! I'm really glad you found the perspective helpful.
It's a powerful mental model. Once you start seeing products as 'autonomous agents' or 'digital team members' instead of just 'tools,' it really does open up a new world of possibilities for creating value. It sounds like you're already well on that path.
And for sure, please do keep the community updated on your progress right here on Indie Hackers! I'll be following your journey. It's always valuable for everyone when founders share their evolution and build in public.
You're tackling a really tough and important problem space. Wishing you all the best as you build out that 'Agent' roadmap!
Cheers.
Thanks so much for the encouragement — it really means a lot! 🙏
I’ve definitely found that thinking of CompliAssistant™ as more than just a “tool” has unlocked new ways to frame the roadmap — like how it can function as a true compliance teammate rather than just a Q&A engine. That shift has already helped me prioritize features differently.
I’ll absolutely keep sharing updates here as I build — it’s motivating to know others are following along. The support from this community is huge, especially while working in such a challenging (but important!) space like HIPAA compliance.
Excited to keep pushing forward and to contribute to the collective learnings here on Indie Hackers! 🚀
That's the spirit! It's awesome to hear the feedback was helpful.
Building in public is tough but incredibly rewarding. I'll be following along with your updates. Keep crushing it!
My apologies for the delay in my response, I just want to say thank you so much.
this is not the place
Thanks for the heads up, Petrovn — appreciate the perspective.
Totally understand if this doesn’t feel like the right spot. Just trying to connect with folks who might be interested in sharing feedback on a live healthcare compliance tool.
If you know a better group or space for that, I’d love the suggestion!
