Hey all!
I co-run a micro design studio (2 people) from London, UK. (hausofel.com)
We have worked with a ton of startups. From early-stage pre-seed or bootstrapped projects seeking validation to Seed raises and Series A/B ventures.
We come in as your fractional design partners, looking at everything from UX/UI and product design to branding and illustrations if that is something you need.
We work in a very async setup, with you delegating design tasks to us which we would report on once or twice a week.
We are opening availability for the next few months, but being only 2 people, we are quite selective. We can only afford to take a few projects at a time to make sure we stay very focused and quality doesn't go down.
Hence this post. I'd love to hear if anyone is working on something and they need Design help with. We can have an initial discovery call, where you explain to us the issues you are having and the problems you are trying to solve. We can show you some of our previous work which we think may be relevant, and if we all agree we could start a partnership.
Looking forward to hear what you are building!
Really refreshing to see a micro-studio sticking to that two-person, high-focus model. It’s so much better for the client than being passed off to a junior at a big agency. Good luck with the new cohort of projects!
Hey. Thanks so much!
We truly think so as well. And now more than ever this is possible due to highly optimised workflows and agents.
Before, the only way to scale a design studio was to turn it into an agency, hiring freelancers first and then full time.
But things are shifting and smaller teams can have an edge.
Even YC, which historically has always open requests for product startups, has opened request for "AI-Native Agencies" in Spring 2026 (can read about it here: https://www.ycombinator.com/rfs).
Not that we would want to go for it, but as you said, I find it refreshing to see that there is a recognition of value for staying as small as you can for as long as possible.
Hey! This sounds great. I’m a Product Designer working mostly on fintech, trading, and Web3 products. I’ve also worked with early-stage startups where the focus was validating ideas and designing scalable product experiences. Always good to connect with other small studios working closely with founders. Would love to see more of your work.
Hi. I am interested in your post. I hope to collaborate with you.

Great to see design focus here! I specialize in pitch deck design specifically—if any founders here are scaling their product and need a deck that matches their high-quality UI, I'm doing these for $299 flat. Feel free to reach out!
Best of luck with your new projects!
Nice post, Lorenzo. Your fractional design approach sounds really helpful for startups that need quality work without hiring full-time. Sharing a few case studies or results you’ve achieved could make it even easier for founders to see the value. Good luck with the new projects.
Hey founders 👋
I work with early-stage startups and indie builders who feel like their product is solid but their website isn’t converting the way it should.
In my experience, most startup websites don’t struggle because of bad design they struggle because the value isn’t immediately clear. Visitors land, scan for five seconds, and leave because they don’t instantly understand what problem is being solved or why it matters to them.
That’s where I come in.
I focus specifically on improving website clarity, conversion flow, and user friction. I look at the hero section messaging, call-to-action hierarchy, visual structure, and overall user journey to identify what’s preventing users from signing up, booking a demo, or exploring further.
I’m not just redesigning visuals — I’m helping founders translate their product into a clear, compelling experience that drives action.
If you’re building something and feel like:
Your traffic isn’t converting,
Your landing page feels “off” but you can’t pinpoint why,
Or your onboarding flow might be leaking users,
I’d be happy to take a closer look and share a thoughtful breakdown.
Curious to hear what everyone here is building and what challenges you’re currently facing 🚀
