Great summary of the video from Pomp and Perrell @Merott. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Gordon, I'm glad you liked it! 🙂
Thanks for the great summary :) !
You're very welcome, Fatou! :)
Thanks for the summary. I'm not sure about
Create as much "good enough" content as possible
- so many others have made progress from a single post - does that really happen by piling on enough good enough?Like all advice, it's not so black and white, and one should take it with a grain of salt!
I think the point Pomp was trying to make is that the more you create, the better your chances of getting seen, and the more you can keep improving. Your "perfect" content is of no use if no one sees it.
Also, most people don't really know which one of their articles/tweets/podcasts/videos/etc is going to become popular. I think I remember @anthilemoon saying something to that effect before.
Because of that, it's better to create more content—as long as they meet a certain quality bar—than to try and craft the "perfect" piece of content.
Yes but there is the amount of research one can do in Google trends before even writing the piece. If you can't at all tell what will be popular then what is the quality bar defined on?
Hmmm, liked your Twitter suggestions. I feel like it's a never-ending cycle of learning content marketing best practices. Thanks for this post!
Thanks, and yes, it's a never-ending cycle. It's important to not get stuck in it and just start experimenting, failing, and learning until you succeed! :)
