How we increased our conversion rate to 28% 🚀

Hey Indie Hackers! DocTranslator was our second project in our marketing internship, and it provides document translations for files such as PDFs, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and even InDesign documents in over 100 languages. Following a redesign on the site we’ve found that traffic and conversion rates from visitors to users went up to 28% - even going as high as 30%. Here’s how we did it!

The Website Redesign 💻:
By using the skills I took from my experiences working on Gglot, I found that designing the new additions required new challenges in imagination and website design- but fortunately Elementor was much easier to use compared to King Composer. Over the course of a few weeks we turned the website into something much more expansive and presentable, which you can take a look at here!

Video Creation 🎥:
Once we got the site to a presentable state, it was time to make YouTube videos for most of the pages. Making videos is not easy- at the very least it’s time consuming and requires a presenter (someone who talks to the camera & has their face in the thumbnail) for said videos to gain more attraction. Thankfully, I had a team to help with filming while I did the editing, creating 50 videos in the span of a week! Check out one of our newest videos below:

The Results 📈:
As mentioned above, our visitor-to-user conversion rate reached 28-30%, while the previous design’s state only reached up to 25%. Along with this our traffic reached over 10k users a day, and the DocTranslator service’s dashboard reached 45,000 pageviews in the past week! Thanks to our team we did our best to gain traction for our new endeavor.💪
