Threads, an X competitor, has grown for 7 months straight. The platform has reached 21.7 million hits from US visitors, according to data from SimilarWeb.
Why you should care as an indie hacker: Distribution. New platforms to distribute your content and products to mean new opportunities to reap the benefits of being an early adopter.
Oh! Threads still exists? I stopped hearing about it a while back 😅
You’re totally right about Threads—it’s growing fast, and if you’re an indie hacker, you should be jumping on this. When I had a full-time job, I struggled to post consistently and promote my projects without burning out. So, I decided to scratch my own itch and became the founder of Bolta. It makes it super easy to post consistently and actually reach people.
Plus, if you use the #BuildingInPublic hashtag, you can connect with a whole crowd that’s into the same stuff as you. It’s a great way to network and show off what you’re building.
If you’re working on a project or a startup, Threads is a killer chance to get noticed early on. Just get in there, start posting, and check out Bolta to keep things organized. DM me for a live demo! 😉
i love threads. i used snapthreads. net to download Threads videos on android phone and it worked
I think Zuckerberg launched Thread right after Musk bought Twitter
This is great! I think you also have a higher chance of getting noticed on Threads, I'll have to give it a whirl.
Ugh lol. A really lazy part of me wanted Threads to fail so I didn't feel torn between marketing on X and marketing on Threads, but now it seems like it's foolish not to at least factor Threads into our distribution strategy for IH. Also, looks like Bluesky is close on Threads' heels?
Very interesting!
