"He who sweats more at training bleeds less at war." β ancient Spartan creed.
I find this pretty motivating before a workout π, so I'm building uppush.me, a service where you can subscribe with your phone number to receive motivating quotes and phrases right before your training sessions.
As a user, you insert your workout schedule, and an SMS is sent automatically at the selected time, just at the start of your workout session.
Sending SMS messages costs a little something, so I ask subscribers to pay a 1-time fee for the lifetime of the service (pay what you want, 3$ min.).
Looking for feedback on:
Feel free to try it out and let me know what you think π€©! You will start getting quotes and reminders according to your selected schedule.
Hey Redouane! I really like the idea, I made you a quick Loom to answer those questions: https://www.loom.com/share/34c626ed5bdb4224bb47977ea62dfd0d
I'm not a big fan of writing I hope that's okay, lol, let me know what you think!
Hi Omar, thanks a lot for taking the time to look at it, I really appreciate your feedback!!
If I can summarise it shortly:
What do you recommend for building a modern landing page? Been using Material UI and found it can take some time to build a nice layout.
For the payment structure, it's mostly motivated by the cost of sending an SMS β I'd say it's the biggest cost. The rest of the infrastructure is serverless, and doesn't need to scale much with more users. For sending an SMS in most EU countries, it costs 2 to 3$ a month per user (for 1 SMS per day). So to end up with a bit of profit, the monthly subscription could be 4 to 5$, with an upsell to 50$ yearly. I know it seems quite high :)
Let me know your thoughts!
P.S: Nice to see what you guys are doing at Vili!
Thanks mate, and that's correct!
But wow, I expected SMS costs to be lower, haha, in that case you might explore adding extra features to the subscription. (check https://teuxdeux.com/).
WebFlow has been a lifesaver for me recently, especially in agile ventures where I want to confirm the market very quickly (it's what we use for Vili's clients as well), it's pretty easy to just move stuff around and pivot whenever necessary.
Other than that you should focus on adding a couple of sections that might have a future roadmap or extra features for more credibility!
Let me know if all that makes sense, I'm available If you'd prefer a quick call!
Thanks for the insight! Really appreciate it :)
I'm considering enriching the experience with more features as you suggested!
