Alphabet Tracer: Kids ABC

Free app that makes ABC tracing simple for preschoolers

September 8, 2026 I built a free, ad-free alphabet app because most kids' apps I looked at were a mess

I was looking into kids' learning apps and noticed most alphabet tracing apps followed the same pattern. Ads between every letter, paywalls locking half the alphabet behind a subscription, or interfaces too cluttered for a preschooler to use without an adult sitting right there guiding them through it.

So I built Alphabet Tracer: Kids ABC. Clean letter tracing practice, no ads interrupting the flow, no paywall on basic learning, and simple enough that a preschooler can open it and start tracing on their own.

It's live on Google Play now, completely free. I'm sharing it here because a lot of parents are probably hitting the same wall I did when looking for something usable. If this saves even one parent from downloading five ad-filled apps before finding something that works, that's worth it.

Would love feedback from other parents or builders here, especially on onboarding, since that's the part I'm least confident about.

A bit more context: I've built other small projects before, this one's just personal since it started as something for my own kid. It currently covers tracing, sound feedback, and a parent dashboard to track progress. Next up I'm adding numbers tracing.

If you're a parent, I'd love to know what you'd want to see next. If you're a builder, happy to answer questions about the tracing mechanic or app store listing, just not going into the tech stack.

About

Started as a tool for my kid to learn letters without ads or paywalls getting in the way — decided other parents might want that too.
