I had an(other) idea...

When coming up with names for other projects, I discovered that a lot of social network handles were already be taken by inactive accounts.

I would have to use underscores, dots, or append "HQ" instead.

Some social networks have policies of freeing up those inactive accounts and usernames.

I'd happily pay for an automated checking service to keep an eye on the usernames and alert me if they became available.

And so, I decided to start building it myself with under the name available.fyi.
