Convert PDF Bank Statements to CSV
Once again I did not do much. Instead I've been developing a simulation game where you play as a customer support representative. I'm using Raylib for this game. You see I am living the dream, more and more money goes into my bank account while I do whatever the hell I feel like doing.
I really didn't do anything. I spent most of the time fixing document issues and responding to user support queries. I also went to Okinawa for a little holiday. I fed a capybara and saw a bunch of American fighter jets flying around. Okinawa is a weird place.

How do users link their bank accounts to your software?

They can't link their bank accounts.
My app lets you upload PDF bank statements and it'll extract the transaction data into a Excel document.

Fixed a bunch of issues with documents. Pretty cool that it took a bit over a month to go from $7000 MRR to $8000 MRR. App is growing nicely and I don't really know what I need to do to grow it even further. So I guess I'll just build something else or chill out.

Bank Statement Converter is behaving the way a good SaaS should behave. Brings in money while I do other things. Thank you BSC.
Oh man I literally didn't do anything to get this milestone. That's the beauty of software as a service. I just waited, and the users came. MRR growth is slowing down at the moment though. Man this damn website demands that I type a lot of stuff to create a milestone. What a pain in the ass.

Thanks! When I launch I usually buy Facebook/Google Ads to get the first few customers. I turn them off after a few weeks though, they usually aren't profitable. They are useful to get people use the app immediately though.

Going pretty well, it isn't something I really spend a lot of time on. All I do on the marketing front is write blog posts.

interesting... so... what are your plans for revenue growth and acquiring new customers? I read you think the new customers - churn is very similar at $7,5K?

I'm going to do nothing. I'm building a new app, so that's sort of my focus at the moment. I'm only doing customer support for Bank Statement Converter now.

Signed on a big customer and A big part of it was just letting time pass and steadily getting more users. Looking at the graph there’s only one spike. That being said, in the last seven months I made 503 Git commits.

I woke up, checked my dashboard and saw that no one had bought. Upset, I decided to hike Maclehose Stage 3 backwards. As I started the hike I got an email from a user.
"I registered created a credit and it would only let me convert one page - I have tried to load up other pages and it just refuses to load them"
I had a look at the dashboard, he had bought a package of document processing credits. I was in the middle of nowhere and couldn't fix the bug he was facing. I did the hike and a few hours later fixed the bug.
I was doing my taxes and going through a pile of PDFs and thought "this sucks". I pressed on with the PDFs but then later started writing some code to figure out how hard it would be to extract the data I wanted from a PDF file. It turned out to be very hard. That's when I realised this could be something worth building.
