Bay X Bengal
Connecting Bangladeshi exporters to global markets.
I run a small remote agency in Bangladesh, and kept hearing the same problem from exporters and international buyers alike: there was no reliable way to find and verify Bangladeshi exporters online. Existing directories were outdated, unverified, or built as generic multi-country templates that didn’t fit the local export ecosystem.
So I built Bay X Bengal, a B2B verified exporter directory sourced directly from EPB (Export Promotion Bureau) data. It covers garments, leather, jute, seafood, and textiles, with over 5900+ exporter profiles across 37 industries, 70 districts, and 1,600+ HS codes.
Every listing carries trust and credibility scores based on things like Lima/DIFE labor compliance and EU registration status, so buyers can gauge legitimacy at a glance instead of relying on a name and a phone number.
It’s built on Next.js and Payload CMS, self-hosted, and still early. I’m working through SEO, claim verification workflows, and outreach to exporters directly.
Would love feedback from anyone who’s built in the B2B directory or marketplace space, especially around trust signals and getting the first wave of supply-side users to claim and complete their profiles.
About
I saw Bangladeshi exporters getting overlooked by outdated, unverified directories that weren’t built for them. Bay X Bengal exists to change that: a verified, EPB-sourced directory built specifically for Bangladesh.

The 5,900+ profiles solve the discovery side, but claimed profiles seem like the real value-creation step.
Curious whether exporters are responding more to the visibility opportunity, or to the credibility/trust signals attached to their profile.
