Claritrix

Weighted Decision Scorecard Tool

Visit Website
September 2, 2026 I built a decision-scorecard tool because I couldn't find one that was both fast and defensible

I'm a compliance officer by day, and I kept hitting the same wall: needing to make an important decision between multiple options, then needing to present that decision formally to someone else. Spreadsheets held the numbers but produced nothing presentable. AI-generated recommendations were fast but not reliably accurate enough to actually stake a decision on — if you're handing something to a boss or a client, "trust me" isn't good enough.

So I built Claritrix. You set your own criteria and weights, score each option, and get an instant ranked result with a full breakdown showing exactly how each option scored on every criterion. Nothing hidden — the math is fully visible, so the output is evidence, not just an opinion.

A few specifics:

  • Runs entirely in the browser — no account, no server, no data leaving your device

  • 18 templates across business/finance, vendor/procurement, and HR

  • One-time $39 purchase, no subscription

  • Built solo, using AI-assisted tools rather than coding by hand

Where it's at: live on Payhip & Digistore24, picked up its first outside sales through DealMirror, and I'm working through directory/community launches (Product Hunt, PeerPush, SaaShub, G2) one at a time.

Happy to answer anything about the build process, the scoring approach, or going the AI-assisted-build route as a non-developer.

The defensibility feels like the real wedge. Are buyers mainly paying to rank options faster, or to have a decision they can justify to someone else?

Good question, and honestly it's the justification side more than raw speed. Ranking options faster is a nice side effect, but the actual moment people reach for Claritrix is when they already kind of know the answer and need to defend it — to a boss, a client, a board. A weighted, visible breakdown turns "I have a good feeling about this vendor" into something you can put in front of someone and not get picked apart. If it were purely about speed, a simpler tool would win; the specific problem is that gut calls don't survive scrutiny.

That’s a much sharper buying signal than speed. The “defend the decision” use case is interesting enough that I’d like to dig into it a bit more privately. What’s the best email to reach you on?

Sure — support@claritrix.io works, or feel free to reply here first if easier. Happy to dig into the "defend the decision" angle more, since that's honestly been the sharpest piece of feedback on this thread so far.

Spreadsheets couldn't produce anything presentable. AI recommendations weren't reliable enough to stake a decision on. Claritrix fixes both — transparent, weighted scores you can defend.
