Discovered someone also developed similar idea

It was a devastating moment for me when I discovered that someone has similar solution for my CryptoDCA and launched on IndieHacker earlier. I guess that is the reality of life, right? You won't be able to control what will happen in your life.

After some time, I was thinking this idea might be good and validated as similar idea came from other entrepreneur from another part of the world.

Just the matter of how you perceive this...

Being original is overhyped. Imagine Adidas saying: "no reason to do it because there is already Nike". For some reason, in tech, everybody wants to be Facebook, but this is not how 99.99% of businesses work. Good luck!

    Hi Michael,

Like you said, somebody else building a similar idea to yours probably means there is a market there, so that is a good thing.

On the other, you can check out the competition and see in what way they are solving the problem, maybe your way covers something that they don't provide.

You don't need to build something better or worse, just different... and then sell your diferences as pluses to the users.

The market and the world are big enough, you don't always need to innovate, you just need to implement it in a way that provides more value to the users.
