1000 Early Adopters within 1 Week

📢 Major announcement!

Today we hit a major milestone that was actually set for the end of the year. I'm super proud of ourselves and the work we've been putting in!

Our goal was to find 1000 people from our target audience within 2 month who would be willing to give us honest feedback and their email in trade for an early beta on-boarding. Today, just one week later after launching the dekks.app product page, we hit the 1K mark for our early adopter subscriptions and received almost 300 surveys, which we asked to take on 'please confirm your email' notification.

This milestone is especially important and useful to us, since all subscriptions are from the audience that Dekks is built for — 100% quality users 😍

So what did we learn? Simply launch where your audience is and ask for feedback. People are helpful, just ask!

Thanks to everyone who signed up.

    This is impressive, congrats!
How did you get all early adopters?

Thanks! We thought it would be the best to launch the product page on our own social channels instagram and twitter first, but also on siteinspire.com, which is a great resource for web design inspiration.

We are making a lot of websites at International Magic and knew from our experience, that it would give us the perfect amount visitors (and target audience) for the start before we go to big platforms like techcrunch.com … we didn't expect that many so quickly to be honest.

Thanks for your response! I checked siteinspire but I have no idea how people would find you :-\

The post travels down the page when newer posts coming in. So it's currently in row 6 I believe.

I love the design of your site, and funnily enough I found it through Siteinspire! Planning on using you as an example of good design in an upcoming project!

How long did the design and development of the initial site take?

    Also congrats!

      Hi Callum! Yeah wicked …

Hard to say since we focused heavily on the ui framework components before we did anything else and that powers both, the app and the product page. This is a bit overhead in the beginning and probably not wise if you want get started quickly, but it saves so much time along the way. It's kinda work in progress and we are building new components as we need them … so this was a full month of work in itself.

So having our own ui component framework made the development of the product page incredibly fast. I would say 1 week of development and 2 weeks of design …

Let me know if this is helpful to you 👀

Awesome, yeah I'm planning on doing the same sort of thing for future projects! I think that work upfront makes a hell of a lot of sense.

Really quick turnaround! And yeah, whoever did the design, props, because the site looks great!

Very helpful, good luck with everything!

Thank you! Cheers for the signup 🙏

Yeah we put a lot of energy into the design. It's usually not the smartest thing to do when you bootstrap and want to launch quick, but we felt a design driven presentation needs to look sexy … so thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, that's basically what we did. I think it really comes down where you launch and who your target group is … I think our target audience is really helpful by nature. We launched on siteinspire.com, where a lot of designers and developers are, who have the same problems like us.
