September 3, 2026 Soft-launching Doctor Codes: Automated Code Audits & AI Repair Hub. Live now – looking for early feedback!

Hey Indie Hackers,

We’ve officially hit the button on our soft-launch for Doctor Codes (doctor.codes), and I’m opening it up to the IH community while we prepare for our upcoming Product Hunt launch!

The Problem

As developers and founders, keeping codebases clean, secure, and maintainable is a constant battle. Manual security audits, tracking down code smells, and fixing technical debt take up valuable hours that should be spent building features and shipping product.

What Doctor Codes Does Today

Doctor Codes is live and built to function as an automated "health & repair hub" for your software projects:

  • Automated Code Health Checks: Deep scanning for vulnerabilities, performance bottlenecks, and code smells with direct GitHub & GitLab integration.

  • AI Repair Hub: It doesn't just point out issues—it delivers automated, context-aware code repairs and pull requests.

  • Streamlined Workflow: Track your project's overall security score and code quality from a single dashboard.

On the Roadmap (Coming Soon)

  • Native MCP Server Support: We’re currently building Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration, allowing you to connect Doctor Codes directly into modern AI workflows and IDEs (like Cursor, Windsurf, or Roo Code).

Live Status & Early Access

The platform is fully functional, payments are live, and you can connect your repositories today. We’re soft-launching first to battle-test everything under real-world conditions, fine-tune the pipeline, and gather raw feedback from fellow builders.

How you can help

Since we are prepping for the main Product Hunt launch, I’d love your brutal honesty and feedback:

  1. The Workflow: If you test it on one of your repos, how seamless was the scanning and repair experience?

  2. Pricing & Value: Does the pricing structure make sense for individual devs vs. small teams?

  3. Features: Is there an integration or specific audit feature missing that would make this an instant "must-have" for your stack?

If you want to give Doctor Codes a spin on your projects, use code EARLY25 at checkout for 25% off for life.

Head over to doctor.codes, give it a spin, and let me know what you think in the comments!

Thanks for reading, and happy building!

Exactly right! The automated PR generation is the core value proposition. Audits and scanners are everywhere, but they usually just create noise and endless backlog tickets. The real bottleneck for devs and teams is the execution time to fix security flaws and code smells. Offering a context-aware fix that respects the existing codebase structure turns passive reporting into active time saved — and that's precisely what converts users to paid plans.

The repair layer feels like the real differentiator.

Are users primarily coming for the audits, or is the ability to generate a context-aware PR what makes them willing to pay?
