Passed $1,000 MRR!

I started the Just Go Grind Community to help founders connect with each other, learn about the world of raising venture capital, and get a little more help building their companies through the shared experiences of others.

With my experience interviewing 400+ founders and investors on podcasts and being the Director of Marketing at VITALIZE Venture Capital, combined with my knowledge from building my own bootstrapped company, I thought I could offer something unique for founders.

The community started with a 60-day free trial for early members, as I wanted to reward them for joining early and also have time to build value and trust - it's worked so far.

We've had weekly office hours and 1 on 1 calls with me in addition to the content shared across the online platform we're using, Circle.so. Members can also ask questions through my own Twitter account (I ask for them to my 15K followers, getting them answers to questions they haven't been able to answer).

We've also had founder-led workshops and have a couple of AMAs with guests lined up.

There's always a separation from where you are and where you want to be, but I'm happy that the community is resonating with members, and am excited to continue building relationships and creating resources to help all of the founders in the community.

On to the next milestone!

      Thanks so much!

Here's a little more about it and what you can expect:

      • Each week, we have a Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening office hours to jam on anything from product to marketing to fundraising to simply vent about the challenges of building companies

      • Each week I also have about 4-8 timeslots available for 1 on 1s with me to dive deeper on anything

      • We use Circle.so as the hub for all of our content and interactions online, with spaces for marketing, hiring, fundraising, founder offers, and a general chat

      • We have an Airtable form for members to ask questions through my Twitter account (15K+ followers to help with visibility) and launching a "warm investor" list soon

      • We've done 1 AMA with a founder so far and another one coming next week

      • We've done 3 community meet ups in person (Want to do way more coming up soon)

Overall, it's a place to connect and learn, with many, not all, of the founders focused on building venture-backed startups, a number of which have raised VC and others who are raising soon, mostly in the pre-seed and seed stage as of now.
