Get 10 registered regular users

Apparently, I'm pretty good at web development, but really suck at all other areas of product development. Getting people to use it is hard! I struggle finding communities I could reach and promote my app there, it's hard to write pitching texts. Month passed since I opened the app to public, and I'm still the only registered user :(

My goal is by December to have at least 10 registered users, who'd use the app regularly. That should be a good start!

I'm doing weights but find it kinda hard to use this app. I think it might be a good idea to do some usability testing to see where people get confused.

Thanks for the feedback! Could you please elaborate what was hard for you specifically? That would really be a big help!

I'm using a custom routine, and it's kinda hard when I see terms like "state variables" and "variations" that I don't know what they mean. I expected a step-by-step 1-screen at a time user friendly intro, like: "What's your exercise called?", "How many reps do you plan to do?" etc.

Ah, makes sense. Yeah, the exercise editing screen allows to do very flexible routines, but I can see how it looks confusing. Probably a good alternative would be to create "Simple"/"Advanced" versions of the screen, where on the simple screen you could type or somehow enter "Squat 5x5 150lb" and that's it. And if you need to add more logic, you'd switch to the advanced mode.

Really appreciate the feedback, thank you very much!

Okay, after getting featured on Product Hunt, I got about 20 registered users, and 5 users that actually are actively using it to track their workouts. So, half of the goal reached... :)
