Why we started

We started by asking a simple question: if you Google a health topic, can you tell who wrote what you're reading? Almost never. The authors — real doctors, real researchers — have their work buried across blogs, newsletters, and journal sites with no single place to find them. So we built Ltrl. We indexed the national provider registry, started pulling in published health content, and connected the two — verified credentials next to the actual writing. Early users told us the same thing: "I didn't know I could search for a doctor by what they've written about." That's the moment we knew we had something. We're live now with a searchable directory and working toward letting clinicians claim their profiles and publish directly.
