Major rewrite of a backend microservice
by aseI had encountered a troublesome issue early May 2020. An important library on one of our microservices was not working properly.
We were faced with a difficult descision.
Do we keep working with the defective library or do we switch to another and rewrite the whole microservice application?
Since we were in a pre-release phase, we decided it was best to change libraries.
It took a month for me to integrate the new library within the service.
It ended up solving many issues and is a big win for the team and future development!
