Hey Indie Hackers 👋
I’ve been building Outfits Check — an AI-powered outfit checker and virtual try-on tool.
The idea came from a pretty simple question:
“Does this outfit actually look good on me?”
Usually, you either ask a friend, look in the mirror 20 times, or just buy the outfit and hope for the best.
So I wanted to build something that could give you a second opinion instantly.
What Outfits Check does
You can upload an outfit photo (or paste a fashion product URL), upload your own photo, and the AI generates a virtual try-on.
It also gives you an Outfit Score from 0–100, based on things like:
🎨 Color harmony
👕 Fit & proportion
✨ Style coordination
🧩 Overall outfit cohesion
🎯 Occasion match
You can also download the generated look.
The interesting part
I’m building this as an indie founder, so I’ve been trying to keep the product simple instead of adding dozens of features.
The goal is basically:
See it → Check it → Get a score → Decide.
I’m especially interested in making the AI feedback actually useful rather than just generating a random “92/100 🔥” score.
Current pricing
There’s a free tier to try it, and a Pro plan at $5/month with more AI generations.
I also added credit packs for people who don't want a subscription.
What I want to learn now
The product is live, but I’m still figuring out the most important part:
Would you actually use something like this before buying/wearing an outfit?
If you try it, I’d genuinely love feedback on:
Was the score useful?
Did the AI feedback make sense?
Was the virtual try-on realistic enough?
What would make you come back and use it again?
I’m not looking for compliments — tell me what feels broken. 😄
Would love to hear what other indie hackers think.
