Visualize your link structure with PageWatch
by Loftie EllisI just deployed a big new update with some exciting features. The most flashy feature is probably the visual site view where you can see how every one of your pages link to all the rest.

PageWatch is slowly gaining traction, it is hard work to get the work out, but so far we haven't had a single customer churn, so at least that is very encouraging :)

Congrats! Is the visualization something customers asked for? Or is about eye candy to get them to sign up? It wasn’t clear from the demo how I’d use it for my own sites.

Its a bit of both. On larger scans people wanted a faster way to verify pages than paging through them 5 at a time, so I looked around at what options I have to do this nicely. (I dont think anyone expected a force directed graph though, thats more me)
I actually found it way more useful than I expected and its now one of the first things I check after I test a site. For example in the SpaceX website, in just a few seconds I can see how every single page looks on desktop and mobile, and spot any issues with interlinking between pages.
The visualization clusters images by how they link to other pages, in the demo you can see the middle pages link out to everything, while those on the edges only link to a few. And I even spotted an issue, the 'Starship' page is duplicated (Some places link to https://www.spacex.com/vehicles/starship/, other to https://www.spacex.com/vehicles/starship/index.html). Normally you want that to be consistent for SEO related reasons.
