The coolest part is that it took 10 minutes from the moment I clicked "Send email" to the first feedback. Internet is awesome.
A fun little feature just in time for Christmas 🎅
It's something I wanted to add for a while. Not necessarily the most requested feature, but something I believe everyone will appreciate.
Notes are a huge part of Pine and will continue to get better.
Two weeks ago Pine launched on Product Hunt.
It was a fun experience with lots of lessons learned.
In this blog post, I mostly talk about the mistakes I made during the launch. It's dedicated to the newby makers like myself. I hope you'll find some useful tips here!

I'm incredibly excited to announce the version 1 release of Pine!
After months of gathering feedback from beta users, tweaking and updating, I feel like Pine is ready to be released!
It's still far from perfect, but I've been delaying the launch for long enough now!

With the core functionality of Pine done, it's all about improving the look and feel now. Here's a before and after of the New Todo modal:
Feels like spring cleaning! Making an app better lookings and more usable is quite the meditative experience.
All new modals will be coming out this week!

Apart from opening the beta, I added some features requested by my beloved beta users!
- You can reorder todos in the timeline and sections
- You can now add images to notes
- 100mb of cloud storage now comes FREE. Everyone can try out file uploads!
- A whole bunch of bugs have been fixed thanks to you!
First beta invites were sent out today!
That's cool and exciting, buuuuut, a number of those emails went to spam.
That's an important lesson, it's easy to get marked as spam. I'm pretty sure that using a mailer service would have prevented this.
You live and you learn!

This one is for all the indie makers out there.
It's the indie maker community that inspired me to build something of my own.
Other makers and their notes on their progress were always fascinating to me. I want to give back a little.
Pine Beta is just around the corner. We received a lot of interest mostly thanks to BetaList. Getting featured was incredibly useful. Here's a blog post about that:

Pine received some attention after being published on Betalist today.
Getting early signups and feedback is a real thrill, especially after working hidden away for two years.
The feature is still there, all likes, shares, hearts, and comments are very highly appreciated!
Pine is getting closer to release.
It felt like a good time to release an early signup page.
After two years of work, this is the very first thing that's open to the public.
The public site alone took some time to develop.
Aside from the signup form and the homepage I wrote two blog posts and added a changelog.
