September 5, 2026 Built RankLatam — a public bidding-based ranking for LATAM startups, entirely from my phone

I built RankLatam: a public ranking site for projects and startups from Latin America. Listing is completely free. If you want the #1 spot, you bid — and anyone can outbid you and take it at any time. No algorithm, just who wants it more.

The wild part: I built and shipped the entire thing from my Android phone using Termux. No laptop involved at any point in the process.

Stack: Next.js + Supabase + Tailwind, deployed on Vercel.

    The bidding mechanic is interesting, but the real signal is whether founders will keep paying to stay visible. Have any listings generated repeat or competitive bidding yet?

    QGood question — not yet. We just launched this week (Reddit, IH, X) and turned on Analytics today to track real traffic. The bidding flow is tested end-to-end (payments via PayPal), but the first organic competitive bid hasn't happened yet. I'll update you as soon as there's a real case — should make for good build-in-public content 👀

Latin America doesn't have its own version of Product Hunt — most discovery platforms are US-centric. I wanted a public, competitive way for LATAM builders to get visibility, so I made listing free and added a bidding me
