Seeing people use the app was a great feeling, but the feedback in the comments was huge. One feature that was requested by several people was the ability to have nested comments. Which was later released in December.

That's an interesting concept, and if you can keep the momentum going, I can definitely see how the network effect is going to amplify the popularity of the app.
But I have one curiosity: how are you going to monetize it? I can imagine storing and serving a lot of audio content can generate some costs over the time, so I would guess you would need to find a way to bring money in. Ads + paid plan like Spotify?

Great question, ideally I'd like to avoid ads but if they're done right it could be an okay model.
Most likely I'd start with a subscription and offer some additional features maybe targeted more towards podcasters vs typical listeners. But still I haven't fully worked that out. My plan is to get more people using it and then ask them what features they'd pay for.
