Started working on the app

I purchased an Apple Watch and started exploring the Swift APIs.

This is my first watch app, so I had some learning to do.

I wanted the app to automatically detect when you are running and when you are resting. This proved to be a bit of a challenge, because the location updates you get from the GPS take about 10-15 seconds to compute your average speed.

I ended up storing a bunch of sensor data on the device and went on many test runs in my back yard. It took a couple of weeks, and a bunch of tests to reliably detect running vs not.

Once I figured this part out, I started building out the UI and using the app on my 3x week runs.
