September 3, 2026 Show IH: WebsiteRank – Real-time 3D pay-to-rank auction for web apps

Hey Indie Hackers! 👋

I just launched WebsiteRank — a gamified 3D skyline where creators and founders bid live to claim top tower positions and capture direct global traffic.

Why I built it: Traditional static directories feel outdated and slow. I wanted to experiment with real-time auction mechanics and interactive 3D visual hierarchies to give makers a fun, competitive way to get eyes on their projects.

How it works:

  1. Place Bid: Bids start at $1 min with fast ~1.2s settlement.

  2. Climb Skyline: Higher bids secure taller, more prominent 3D towers.

  3. Capture Traffic: Top positions drive direct, verified clicks to your product.

Check out the live 3D skyline at websiterank.lol! I’d love to get your thoughts on the pay-to-rank concept, UI/UX, and performance.

The real test is whether top spots send qualified traffic. Are bidders seeing meaningful clicks yet, or mostly buying visibility?

We’re building it to deliver both live traffic and long-term search value. Beyond direct visibility, every claimed domain gets a structured profile page that generates strong, contextual backlinks. This profile acts as an entity hub to signal higher E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) to search engines and AI crawlers, helping claimed projects gain authority and rank better organically.

That makes the longer-term value proposition clearer. I’d be interested in digging into whether buyers are actually seeing that value yet. Happy to continue privately — what’s the best email to reach you on?
