I made the classic mistake. I hunkered down in my development bunker (for months) working on launching an MVP on the side. My time was fairly limited which stretched it out even further.
A few months go by and I make a decision:
Let's leverage some accountability and enforce a deadline on launching this project.
So I came across Stikk - a way to set a deadline that gives money to a charity you hate if you don't reach your goal. I chose an anti-environmental charity, set my fiance as the refereee and made the commitment.
A new sense of motivation came over me. It's cliche but setting a hard deadline with some accountability really was effective for me!
