(Copying & pasting from my self-intro comment on the Introduce Yourself! thread)

Hi all! I am Brandon. I just discovered Indie Hackers and have really enjoyed reading about others' journeys. I am based in Cambridge, UK and also someone who couldn't stop tinkering with ideas ;)

I left a corporate job in 2010 to start a game studio (I really like making games...), ended up making games for clients (mostly family-friendly brands).

The first and a half year was tough as I had to learn how to do everything from scratch. Learning to code was one of the hardest part of it. I was self-funding and fortunately I had written a book before I left my full-time job and it helped fund living expenses during this learning period.

In the years since, I've gotten involved in a couple of startups outside of my company, built various things (games, books, apps, platforms...etc.), and dabbled in mentoring/workshops (which I've really enjoyed and have been thinking about doing more).

Just wanted to say hi to the community. I'd love to know if anyone else is also in the area - would love to have an Indie Hackers meetup here in Cambridge (UK)! (I used to run a game developer community meetup in Seattle and loved it!)
